About Licensing

DawnEngine is a commercial engine and is not available as a public free download. Start by requesting a trial for evaluation, then choose the commercial license that fits your project.

The current PoC trial is a binary-only Windows SDK (no source) that can create projects and ship Windows packages.

How to Get It

  1. Request a trial — describe your team and project; we provide a trial package and license key.
  2. Validate — evaluate shipped capabilities (large worlds, AI, Dawn Stream MVP, etc.).
  3. Purchase a license — choose Professional or Enterprise/Government based on needs.
  4. Ongoing support — receive updates, patches, and technical support.

Trial packages are distributed via a domestic CDN for fast access in China; trial keys and licensing details are provided by the sales team.

  • 64-bit multi-core CPU and a discrete GPU (Vulkan / DX12).
  • 16GB+ RAM; 32GB+ recommended for large worlds.
  • Ample disk space for assets and cache.
